Call us to book now
Steeped in history, this country pub once formed part of a row of weavers cottages built by the Nightingale family in 1781. It was reputed to be the site of Florence Nightingale’s first hospice before it was converted into a pub.
Now the heart of the village, we are a cosy, pint by a crackling log fire kind of meeting place for friends and strangers alike.
We serve proper pub food, local cask ales and host live music throughout the year.
Through the warmer months, you can put your feet up on our sun soaked garden terrace and bask in the quiet of the rolling hills.
Dogs and families welcome.
